Job Description

 

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

 

Customer Service

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
  • Create and manage production schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with different departments and teams to ensure smooth workflow.

 

Internal Processes

  • Ensure high levels of productivity & engagement within factory teams
  • Should be able to interact with internal stakeholders like production, Safety, quality, HR and resolve the issues in day-to-day activities
  • Supporting team for internal and external audits related work

Innovation & Learning

  • Work together with the indenter / user departments to ensure that required materials are made available to user departments.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities
  • Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
  • Implement quality control procedures and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead, train, and motivate production staff to achieve production goals
  • Ensure that staff adhere to company policies and regulations
  • Manage inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials
  • Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production volumes, quality checks, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on production performance and issues.

 

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Position?

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a production role within the food industry.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSMA).
  • Proficient in using production management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Computer proficiency (MS office, SAP, MIS reports)
  • Proven experience as an Equipment Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Aptitude for working under pressure and managing emergencies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Analytical skills to assess and improve production processes.
  • Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making and commercially aware.
  • Basic awareness of statutory requirements

 

What are the Desirable success factors for the Position?

  • Knowledge of Food industry preferably in Spice production, Ready to eat/cook & Beverage process
  • Good communication skills (English / Hindi / Marathi)
  • Good in Manpower Management Skills
  • Strong management and leadership skills
