What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

  • Support team lead in anchoring the cost improvement initiatives for the function and deliver the same by following Project Management Principles.
  • Analyze sourcing data and generate reports to identify cost savings initiatives, procurement optimization and consolidation opportunities.

 

Customer and Supplier Service

  • Support with roll out of procurement centric project management blueprints to improve adherence/ compliances.
  • Assist with roll out & execution of Supplier Satisfaction surveys and anchor action planning.
  • Support with roll out & execution of Supplier Quality Excellence Program

 

Internal Processes

  • Support the execution of procurement processes and ensure adherence to defined policies, guidelines and documentation requirements across sourcing activities.
  • Maintain sourcing trackers, vendor records, MIS and other relevant documentation to ensure process discipline, reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Track key sourcing and supplier performance metrics such as cost savings, delivery timelines, quality and cycle times, and provide regular updates to the reporting manager.

 

Innovation and Learning

  • Collecting latest trends in the industry by effectively networking with internal / external stakeholders for proactive decision making.
  • Support digital initiatives for the Foods Commodity sourcing team by testing tools, validating data, identifying gaps and sharing suggestions for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining reports on commodity prices, availability trends and other market intelligence inputs on digital platforms or internal trackers.
  • Review day-to-day sourcing processes to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization and better process adherence, and support follow-through on improvement actions.
  • Contribute to process improvement and digitization projects by coordinating with stakeholders, updating trackers and supporting adoption of new ways of working within the team.

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • Master’s degree in management with strong exposure to project management
  • Extremely strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data for decision-making
  • 4+ years of experience in project management in an FMCG or similar industry
  • Some exposure to agri-commodity sourcing in an FMCG company
  • Mandatory Language Requirements (spoken), if any: NA

  • Category Strategy and Agri Products Domain knowledge (Pulses, spices, Foods Ingredients)
  • Expertise in procurement processes, technology and systems, contract and supplier analysis and management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier diversity, strategic planning and integrated supply chain
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and manage internal stakeholders up to some senior leaders within a highly matrixed organization, working across cross-functional, cross-organizational teams
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, category management, project and performance managementCreative and effective problem solver, sound and reliable judgment, and unquestionable integrity
