Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

 

  • Reporting for trade spends (SKU wise, geography wise, DB level)
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and budget management for promotions and infra expenses
  • Ensure effective and adequate internal controls around payouts (scheme activations, loyalty programs, sales incentives, promoter/ merchandiser deployments etc)
  • Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Variance analysis of Sales Budget for all channels and periodic reporting
  • Preparing and consolidating P/L and CTS (Region/Category/Channel/Sub Channel/Customer level cuts); sharp and insightful analysis wrt various lever of profitability - GM, EBIT movement reasons
  • Ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare basis reports for ExCom review – GT Cluster and Region level P&L, Trade Sales Mix Analysis - Volume Variance and associated GM, etc.

 

Customer Service

 

  • Empower sales teams with financial insights to support customer negotiations and relationship management.

 

Internal Processes

 

  • Manage accruals and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards relating to sales and spends (Promo & Infra), leveraging data analytics.
  • Manage 3rd party deliverables relating to credit notes and payments to distributors.
  • Partner with digital team to automate reports for shopper and finance teams.

  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies in the areas of sales and spends.
  • Continuously improve processes and stay abreast of industry best practices.
  • Enhance analytical skills and data proficiency to drive better decision-making.

 

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • Chartered Accountant/ MBA / MBA Finance
  • 2-5 years of post-qualification business partnering experience, preferably in FMCG environment or related industry
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Results-oriented mindset

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

  • Candidates having experience of Sales role will be preferred
  • Strong thinking & analytical ability
  • Good understanding of basic financial concepts
