Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

  • Drive value engineering /cost saving initiatives and sustainability initiatives on time and within budget, with technical excellence.

Customer Service

  • Collaboration with marketing team to identify packaging concepts based on market trends and consumer needs.
  • Market intelligence: Conducting competition benchmark regularly, desktop research and studies for packaging innovation and improvements.

Internal Processes

  • Packaging specification management: developing optimal packaging solutions for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging components, creation of specs and KLDs in the system.
  • Trial Management: Trial protocol generation, analysis of trial data and manage change for commercial production.
  • Vendor visits and travel for production/packaging trials at TCPL, Co-manufacturing and Co-packing facilities.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, supply chain, marketing, finance, quality to deliver new packaging projects on time

Innovation and Learning

  • Drive sustainability initiatives on time and within budget, with technical excellence
  • Building own capability and knowledge sharing to improve packaging services and support to internal stakeholders.

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • PG Diploma in Packaging Technology, preferably from the Indian Institute of Packaging  with 2-4 years of relevant experience in Foods packaging development
  • Hands-on experience for packaging development related to flexibles
  • Willingness to travel as required.

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

  • Effectively partners with marketing, procurement, supply chain, finance, and quality teams to deliver packaging projects on schedule.
  • Proactively identifies and translates market trends and consumer needs into innovative packaging solutions.
  • Demonstrates expertise in packaging specification management, trial protocols, and technical problem-solving.
  • Consistently drives cost savings and value engineering initiatives without compromising quality or sustainability.
