Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

  • Overall consolidation of MTP, AOP, LE for Domestic business – with ownership of P&L for Category (Beverages and Supplements ) and Channel P&Ls (D2C)
  • Issue weekly Gross sales and monthly Net Sales report (by channel and category) for the overall Organic India business to the senior leadership team
  • Provide insightful analysis on Sales performance (value and volume by channel and category) -  in conjunction with Category and shopper marketing teams
  • Collaborate with sales finance and PSO finance teams for pricing decisions based on underlying cost movements and competition tracking for specific categories/ channel ownership.
  • Analysis of key elements of P&L for specific category/ channels – revenue, blend costs, etc. mix analysis at Channel/state/SKU level including ensuring no negative SKU margin
  • Responsible for helping category teams in NPD business case development through all stages of the Innovation process.
  • Support for execution of cost optimization/ revenue maximization opportunities for specific category and channels.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis as may be needed for the business
  • Support on past debtor reconciliations for Domestic business

Business partnering

  • Play critical role in the business deep dives and monthly Excom meetings with the senior management team
  • Support and challenge category assumptions in analyzing and implementing business growth opportunities, new product development.
  • Review and evaluate all category / customer investment initiatives.

Internal Processes

  • Provide input for improvements in process and procedures.
  • Quarterly review of all trade provisions of PY and half yearly review of provisions for CY.
  • Evaluation of consumer promotions – Pre and Post promotion analysis for all sizeable spends
  • Reduction in promotion inventory – Periodically / Quarterly highlight lead indicators and discuss with respective brand teams and take corrective action for aged inventory

Innovation and Learning

  • Build NPD P&L for all NPDs in the specific category, new variant launches, restage etc to present estimated margins and insights to leadership
  • Tracking and post evaluation of Innovation projects with focus on Growth and profitability
  • Periodic knowledge sharing with category teams on identified initiatives
  • Build complete understanding of digital medium spends to track efficiencies

What are the Critical success factors for the Role ?

  • CA/ ICWA / MBA Finance with 3+ years of experience
  • Good analytical ability & interpersonal skills with a strong penchant for numbers.
  • Working knowledge in SAP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role ?

  • FMCG environment or related industry experience.
  • Ability to connect with numbers
