Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

 

Financial Outcomes

  • Financial Planning: Partner with Category Heads and Marketing Managers to develop category financial plans and monitor the delivery of plan objectives, prepare monthly forecasts (LE). Also would involve playing role in Budget and MTP
  • Actionable Reporting: Analyze current and past trends of KPIs and develop sharper reporting metrics, manage reporting and closing activities
  • Cost Savings/Efficiencies: Work closely with cross-functional teams (procurement, supply chain, sales finance) to analyze & identify avenues for cost and working capital efficiencies.  The role requires solving complex ad-hoc problems that have impact on business and influencing stakeholders.
  • Review pricing and margins in line with cost movements and propose MRP changes, review and evaluate category/ customer investment initiatives. Also keep track of performance being in-line with budget assumptions. Periodic update and analysis of the pricing tracker
  • Competition benchmarking: Analysis of performance against competition based on the public data available as well as future projection of growths and actions for implications, if any for TCPL. Work will also involve shadow P&L and portfolio analysis
  • Support business with evaluation of new launches

 

Customer Service

  • Lead monthly discussions with category head and team with insightful analysis on brand performance, sales (value and volume), margins, market share etc
  • Play role in the Excom monthly presentations
  • Support category teams with ad-hoc analysis such as impact of price off, additional BTL, schemes at SKU level as well as brand/ category level
  • Day to day category partnering

 

Internal Processes

  • Drive continuous improvements in process and procedures and partner in all automation/ other projects to improve ways of working

Innovation and Learning

  • Assist Category in NPD business case development/ range extensions through all the stages of Innovation process
  • Tracking and post evaluation of Innovation projects with focus on Growth and profitability
  • Undertake deep dive projects to identify any areas for cost savings/ efficiencies

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • Chartered Accountant (preferably first/ second attempt) / MBA from premier institute
  • 4-6 years of post-qualification business partnering experience, preferably in FMCG environment
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Result-oriented mindset

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

  • Working knowledge of SAP, proficiency in MS-Excel
  • Proactive thinking & analytical ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills
