Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role ?

Financial Outcomes

  • Oversee timely and accurate consolidation and reporting of financial statements (e.g. P&L, Balance sheet, Cashflow, etc. for global operations.
  • Guide the team in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and minimizing discrepancies.
  • Drive process improvements in the overall reporting function to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and lower operational costs.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to reduce financial risks and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities.
  • Review and validate financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports.
  • Drive process improvements to reduce cycle time and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Support statutory and management reporting requirements.

Customer Service

  • Act as the primary point of contact for markets and corporate teams for reporting queries.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to stakeholder queries.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration with General Ledger, Inter Company, Fixed Asset, Treasury, and Business teams.
  • Maintain high stakeholder satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of issues related to data integrity, reporting timelines, or compliance matters.
  • Respond to queries from internal stakeholders regarding financial statements, consolidation entries, adjustments, and reporting requirements.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously enhance service delivery and reporting processes.

Internal Processes

  • Drive process standardization and automation, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced manual errors.
  • Maintain and update SOPs for all reporting activities.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs for reporting processes and ensure adherence.
  • Facilitate clear documentation and knowledge sharing within the team to enable effective onboarding and cross-training.
  • Monitor key process metrics (e.g., turnaround time, error rates) to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing workflows and implementing best practices.
  • Achieve consistent compliance with internal policies, controls, and audit requirements across all process activities.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and training within the team.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the team to identify and implement innovative solutions for process efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digital tools to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team, ensuring lessons learned and new skills are disseminated effectively.

 

 

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in commerce in Finance/CA/CMA/ACCA/CPA
  • 6-8 years relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of RTR operations
  • Proficiency in SAP – ERP system, BPC- Reporting tool and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Willingness to work as per US timelines while supporting global operation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
  • Experience in GCC/SSC/ BPO/ KPO

 

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

  • Experience in Shared Services/COE environment.
  • Exposure to global reporting processes and multi-region coordination.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (RPA, Power BI) and data visualization.
  • Ability to lead and guide team of 10.
