Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

  • Monitor expenses, suggest cost effective alternatives and daily administrative operations.
  • Implement robust processes, Controls on RM and FG, alignment basis planning functions, reconciliation of reports/data etc., develop scope of improvement and ensure exchange of information with proper coordination with all internal stakeholders.

Customer Service

 

  • Timely production as per indent volumes.
  • Implement & Adhere to Quality standards – FSSAI & FSSC 22000 Requirements & EHS Standards – ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Monitoring timely compliance of regulatory audits, stock audits, quality audits and understanding on root cause analysis and closures in plant/production/market levels. Understanding product quality is important.
  • Coordination with cross functional departments to support/meet schedules.
  • Effective delegation and supervision of all tasks in stipulated time.

 

Internal Processes

 

  • To plan production schedule and ensure product availability as per requirement
  • To co-ordinate with Procurement to ensure availability of RM and PM
  • To ensure minimal downtime of the plant by implementing preventive maintenance schedule
  • Ensure product is complaint to the quality standards set by the company
  • Responsible for continuous improvement activities and SGAs like Kaizen, quality circle etc.
  • Ensure adherence to Line efficiency, GMP, Yield, Health & Safety as set by the company
  • Efficiency improvement with automation and process improvements
  • Manage cost as per budget and initiate & execute cost saving projects
  • Manage contractual labour and shifts as per requirement in most cost effective manner
  • Adherence to set standard norms for RM and PM
  • Ensure compliance to all legal and statutory requirements for the plant
  • Accreditation to FSSC 22000 and ISO45000 for the Factory
  • Handling of Factory Audits from external agencies
  • Ensure that the subordinates have a good working environment and is aligned to company goals
  • Motivate all the subordinates to fulfill their schedules and thus Improve control costs and quality
  • Training of the production team on GMP, Safety and Product compliance
  • Stay up to date on technology trends and process in the FMCG industry
  • Ensure  Plant R&M Cost is within budgeted figure 
  • Manage over all Plant maintenance in line with safety procedure  
  • Ensure Preventive maintenance is scheduled and executed for all line and Equipment /Machine  

 

Innovation and Learning

 

  • Review Safety, Health, Hygiene, and other Food Safety compliances for the unit.
  • Ensure closure of all non–compliances observed during audits within the stipulated time frame.
  • Training of Work force and driving company initiatives at shop floor level
  • Timely & smooth execution of the R&D Trials/projects while coordinating with the internal and external stakeholders.
  • Improvements in existing products – Process & Productivity

 

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

 

  • 15-20 years’ experience of working in Manufacturing Plants, preferably in FMCG Manufacturing Plants
  • Graduation in Engineering (BE / B-Tech)
  • In-depth knowledge about FMCG industry and Food Manufacturing Industry
  • Sound knowledge about 5P’s of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Excellent Team Building capability and Leadership skill
  • In-depth knowledge of various Business and Management principles (Budgeting, Strategic Planning, Resource Allocation) related to Manufacturing
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skill

 

 

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

  • Negotiation and conflict resolution attributes. Sharp production focus with a drive to achieve exceptional results.
  • Analytical & People negotiation skills & Basic awareness in Statutory requirements
  • Computer proficiency (MS office, SAP, Google drive). Advanced MS office and SAP working knowledge is a must.
  • Good Manpower Management skills
  • Should have presentation skills and well versed in excel.
