Job Description

 

 

Job Statement/Job Purpose:

  • Own the production strategy and deliver annual, monthly and daily operating plans for FDC, with governance across SDC, Agglomeration and Packing interfaces.
  • Provide visible leadership on safety and ensure full compliance with HIRA, OCP, LOTO, work-permit, process-safety and incident-prevention requirements.
  • Ensure product quality, food safety, hygiene and sanitation in line with GMP, HACCP, IFS, FSMS, QMS and EMS requirements.
  • Lead production managers and shift teams through clear priorities, governance routines, performance reviews, capability building and succession planning.
  • Set and govern critical process standards across extraction, concentration, freezing, drying, coffee-oil and related operations to deliver stable quality and throughput.
  • Partner with Engineering and Maintenance on asset reliability strategy, preventive maintenance, shutdown planning, critical spares and capacity-risk mitigation.
  • Own production cost, yield, throughput, utility consumption, process loss, packing loss and productivity performance against ABP commitments.
  • Ensure robust SAP governance, material reconciliation, inventory accuracy, production MIS, controls and timely month-end closure.
  • Sponsor RCA, CAPA, DMAIC and risk-reduction programmes for major process, equipment, safety and quality deviations.
  • Build and govern the production improvement portfolio covering PIT, Kaizen, Lean, cost optimisation, sustainability, water and energy reduction.
  • Ensure audit and statutory readiness, effective management of change, closure of non-conformities and sustained compliance with corporate standards.
  • Develop a strong production leadership pipeline through coaching, performance management, multi-skilling and structured technical capability programmes.
  • Sponsor new products, blends, process validations, capacity upgrades and technology scale-up in partnership with Quality, TechOps and Engineering.
  • Present production performance, risks, investment priorities, variance recovery plans and strategic improvement updates to the Director and leadership forums.

 

Customer Service

  • Ensure production output meets agreed quantity, quality, blend, packaging and dispatch requirements.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Packing, Stores, Purchase and TechOps to resolve operational constraints quickly.
  • Support investigation of internal and customer complaints, establish root causes and close corrective and preventive actions within timelines.
  • Maintain product integrity and traceability from raw material and intermediate stages through finished-goods handover.

Internal Processes

  • Implement corporate and site SOPs, production standards, control plans and daily management routines across assigned operations.
  • Review operational KPIs covering safety, quality, output, yield, downtime, manpower, power, fuel, water and cost; initiate recovery actions for deviations.
  • Coordinate production and maintenance windows, shutdown activities, trials and changeovers without compromising safety or customer commitments.
  • Ensure audit readiness, timely closure of non-conformities and effective implementation of CAPA, MOC and risk-mitigation actions.

 

Innovation and Learning

  • Drive statistical process control, data-based problem solving and sustained improvement of critical process parameters.
  • Identify and implement automation, digitalization and visual-management opportunities that improve control, reporting and decision-making.
  • Lead or support process trials, equipment upgrades, validation, commissioning and knowledge transfer across production teams.
