Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

 

Financial Outcomes

  • Monitor expenses, suggest cost effective alternatives and daily administrative operations.
  • Implement robust processes, Controls on RM and FG, alignment basis planning functions, reconciliation of reports/data etc., develop scope of improvement and ensure exchange of information with proper coordination with all internal stakeholders.

 

Customer Service

  • Timely production as per indent volumes.
  • Implement & Adhere to Quality standards – FSSAI & FSSC 22000 Requirements & EHS Standards – ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Monitoring timely compliance of regulatory audits, stock audits, quality audits and understanding on root cause analysis and closures in plant/production/market levels. Understanding on product quality is important.
  • Coordination with cross functional departments to support/meet schedules.
  • Effective delegation and supervision of all tasks in stipulated time.

 

Internal Processes

  • Demonstrate and troubleshoot production issues by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions. Equipped in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure supplies such as Raw Material, Packaging material, consumables are organized in such as manner to ensure smooth flow of work to deliver high levels of output.
  • Planning and Organizing Production based on production plan.
  • Supervising the work of Operators & Workers and adhere to Shift Target
  • Monitor the performance of team members to ensure they are all contributing adequately and accountable on final product produced, its quality, efficiency and safety practices.
  • Managing work as per approved SOP’s and SLA standards and tracking of month closing activities.
  • MIS management, reports & planning further manufacturing activities accordingly. (Keep track of Demand & supply closely with help of SCM)
  • Ensure inventory and account reconciliation of consumables and stocks from vendors
  • Planning and Organizing Production plan in Spice Packing, Spice Processing, Ready to Eat & Ready to Cook
  • Drive Autonomous Maintenance & Optimize Changeover
  • Manpower planning, shift scheduling & Manpower Allocation
  • Problem solving at floor by Applying 5S, 6 Sigma Concepts, TPM
  • Daily SAP Posting to be handled Shift wise and handle SAP closure activity on Month End basis with accountability to stocks in SAP & Physical.

 

Innovation and Learning

  • Review Safety, Health, Hygiene, and other Food Safety compliances for the unit.
  • Ensure closure of all non–compliances observed during audits within the stipulated time frame.
  • Training of Work force and driving company initiatives at shopfloor level
  • Timely & smooth execution of the R&D Trials/projects while coordinating with the internal and external stakeholders in RTE, RTC & Spices Category.
  • Improvements in existing products – Process & Productivity

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in FMCG/Pharma and expertise in managing manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelors or Master’s in Engineering (Mechanical /Food Technology/ Electrical)
  • Manufacturing & Maintenance experience in Packaging Machines category in a reputed Foods & Beverages organization and Spices, RTE, RTC Experience will be recommended.
  • Proven experience working in a supervisory role in a manufacturing operation.

  • Negotiation and conflict resolution attributes. Sharp production focus with a drive to achieve exceptional results.
  • Analytical & People negotiation skills & Basic awareness in Statutory requirements
  • Computer proficiency (MS office, SAP, Google drive). Advanced MS office and SAP working knowledge is a must.
  • Good Manpower Management skills
  • Should have presentation skills and well versed in excel.
