The role will be responsible for defending and growing our foodservice business, working closely with some of the UK’s most important foodservice wholesalers and end operators.

Complexity of the role (Optional): UK role focused on influencing external change with our foodservice wholesalers & End Operators to drive our defined KPI’s.  This role focuses primarily on our UK Tea Business (Tetley & Teapigs).

What are the Key Deliverables in this role ?

 

Financial Outcomes

  • Achieve defined financial and share targets for defined customer base by growing existing business and winning new business in conjunction with the Senior Business Manager

Customer Engagement

  • Full account responsibility for the Caterfood Group, delivering agreed financial, volume and trading objectives
  • Building strong customer relationships through regular commercial meetings, sales team engagement, supply chain engagement, depot engagement, trade events and exhibitions to deliver trading objectives.
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities across our Contract Caterers via extending range or new stockists
  • Leading the execution of marketing and activation plans within end operator sites, ensuring highquality, consistent delivery
  • The management of key customer admin completed in a detailed and timely manner

Internal Processes

  • Supporting the business manager on key administrative tasks including forecasting, invoicing, customer rebates & weekly sales calls
  • Working crossfunctionally with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and opportunities are maximised
  • Support quarterly account plan reviews and share customer insight that might impact our strategic thinking
  • Support brand planning cycle internally and externally

 

Innovation and Learning

  • Gather valuable information on customers, competitors, market trends, personnel, and relays it back to the relevant TCP team(s).
  • Act as the balanced voice of your customers
  • Find effective new ways of doing things; challenges the status quo, breaks down barriers to drive the business forward
  • Address and resolve day-to-day issues as they arise or recommend escalation to the Senior Business Manager if needed for resolution, utilizing innovative thinking where appropriate
  • To learn and understand the account management fundamentals via  training  and coaching from your line manager

 

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role ?

  • Experience in an FMCG sales role within the Foodservice or Wholesale channel
  • A tenacious, selfstarting and result-driven mindset
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels & roles (Non-Exec)
  • Solid commercial awareness and a problemsolving, solutionsfocused approach
  • The ability to manage & prioritise multiple tasks across a broad customer base
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good attention to detail with confidence working both independently and as part of a wider team
  • Strong IT literacy
  • A full UK driving license and flexibility to travel

 

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role ?

  • Experience working with Bidfood, Brakes or Food Service End Operators
  • Experience  managing a P&L
