Job Description

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

  • Cost of poor quality & wastage reduction: Tracking Cost of poor quality and taking initiatives to reduce the same.
  • Budgeting for the QA function of the Unit and ensuring the overall cost is with-in the budgeted.

 

Customer Service

  • Reviewing & analyzing the Consumer complaint that is received at consumer portal. Initiating investigation & root cause analysis to prevent the repetitive complaints in the system. Implementation of CAPA.
  • Coordinating with certifying bodies like FSSC, Halal etc for the Audit coordination & closure compliance for the unit.
  • Ensuring Vendor quality compliances and coordinating with units for product quality and food safety compliances.

 

Internal Processes

  • Responsible to ensure that plants are complying the Regulatory requirement in terms of FSSAI, Legal Metrology, USFDA Registration, SID Filling, etc.
  • Ensuring the External testing Compliance of all products as per FSSAI requirements.
  • Ensuring that all FSMS Standards requirement are fulfilled, Implemented, documented & sustained.
  • Assessing the Plant Performance on regular basis through MIS/Daily reports/Inspection results.
  • Responsible for maintaining GMP/GWP across process premises.
  • Ensuring and conducting internal quality audits and closure of action points derived.
  • Responsible for developing SOP’s and ensure the operations team is trained on the same.
  • New Product/process changes - conducting trials and highlighting the quality and food safety related challenges and identifying and implementing solutions for mitigating the same.
  • Responsible for ensuring Supplier Quality and tracking the performance of the suppliers.
  • Responsible for SAP related activities in process quality function.

 

Innovation and Learning

  • Mapping & Developing team competency with Road map and guiding team with knowledge and individual training.
  • Conducting Internal and external training on food safety and Quality for the team.
  • Responsible to develop and sustain Food Safety culture.
  • Problem solving and taking initiatives / Kaizens to solve the problem and motivating team for the same.

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • B. Tech/ M.Tech  Food Tech or equivalent courses
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in quality management/ New product development in similar food processing units.

 

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

  • Demonstrated knowledge on Quality and Global Food safety standards, FDA standards.
  • Demonstrated experience of working with multiple stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Experience in Frozen, Retorted and Culinary products.
