What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

  • Drive a robust people agenda that enhances workforce productivity, supports supply continuity, and enables cost optimization across the factory.
  • Ensure effective disciplinary and grievance management to minimize ER/IR risks that may result in financial or operational impact.
  • Implement compliance, labour law adherence, and IR strategies that prevent disruptions, reduce legal exposure, and support cost-efficient operations.
  • Strengthen manpower planning, productivity improvement initiatives, and workforce cost management in line with long-term business objectives.

Customer Service

  • Partner with factory leadership to provide timely HR solutions that enable safe, efficient, and people-centric operations.
  • Enhance employee experience through proactive grievance management, transparent communication, and responsive HR support.
  • Ensure seamless HR service delivery including onboarding, training, welfare administration, and HR-related employee support.
  • Build constructive relationships with employees, line managers, and union representatives to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Internal Processes

  • Lead end-to-end factory HR operations including attendance, shift governance, compliance audits, documentation, and HR system adherence.
  • Strengthen ER/IR governance through proactive shop-floor engagement and early detection of issues.
  • Standardize HR processes across factory units and ensure strict adherence to statutory and organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with Cluster HR and COE teams for consistent deployment of policies, performance management, talent processes, and compliance norms.

Innovation and Learning

  • Drive capability-building programs for workmen and staff to support skill enhancement, multi-skilling, and manufacturing excellence.
  • Promote digital HR tools and data-driven practices to improve workforce productivity and HR effectiveness.
  • Identify innovative opportunities to enhance labour practices, employee engagement mechanisms, and workforce management.
  • Support factory-wide organizational changes through effective communication and structured change management.

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • Qualification: MBA/MSW in Human Resources.
  • Experience: 6–8 years of HR experience with strong exposure to Manufacturing / Plant HR environments.
  • Seasoned ER/IR expertise with proven experience in handling multiple unions and driving Long-Term Settlements (LTS) independently.
  • Local language proficiency is mandatory for effective shop-floor engagement and union negotiations.

  • Strong understanding of labour laws, statutory compliances, and factory-level HR operations.
  • Experience leading HR initiatives across multiple manufacturing units.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving orientation and ability to drive people initiatives in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • High resilience, negotiation capability, and ability to manage high-intensity ER/IR landscapes.
