Complexity of the role: We are seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill a pivotal role in achieving TCP's vision of expanding our assortment of supplements. This role is essential in developing products that resonate with consumers and drive brand success.

The successful candidate will be adept at engaging with internal stakeholders and excel in collaborative cross-functional settings to advance projects through the New Product Development (NPD) process.

Primary Stakeholders: R&D Internal Functional Heads, Cross functional teams (Marketing, Quality, Regulatory etc.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

  • Support new product development and cost saving initiatives by conducting lab prototypes, ingredient alternatives, scale up trials etc.

 

Customer Service

  • Execute the product development plan with focus on prototype development.
  • Conduct pilot plant/factory trials and launch support, collaborating with CFT and third parties as required with all required documentation.
  • Provide timely & appropriate inputs for successfully resolving process / product issues at manufacturing locations.

 

Internal Processes

  • Create ingredient, product and process specifications including the recipe/BoM on the prescribed Specification Management Systems
  • Design and manage sensory testing plan and protocols (using RedJade platform).
  • Ensure maintenance and servicing of NPD lab equipment.
  • General upkeep of the NPD laboratory, Sensory Room, Storage areas and Pilot plant with assistance, wherever required.

 

Innovation and Learning

  • Conduct benchmarking of various products, market study and documentation
  • Support to deliver innovation-based products in supplements category
  • Design and manage stability study protocols for the projects assigned.

 

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

  • Post graduation in food science / Food Technology
  • Proven 1-2 years of experience working within product development / Innovation within FMCG organization
  • Product development experience and able to demonstrate a thorough understanding on formulation strategies and processing technologies.
  • Good understanding of sensory evaluation, packaging and its interactions with product safety and acceptance through shelf life.
  • Ability to multi-task and have travel flexibility
