What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

• Process incoming samples by appropriate documentation and storage
• Prepare growth media for microbial cultures; inoculate, incubate, enumerate and report results
• Carry out decontamination/disposal of spent material
• Assist the Lab Microbiologist in any other activities as needed including periodic maintenance of equipment/Internal calibration/consumable inventory.
• Review and revision of test procedures and specification as per Indian/ International standards.
• Working knowledge of HACCP. Validation and verification of CCPs.
• Conduct RCA for customer complaints

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

• Bachelor’s degree in science with majors in Microbiology
• 3+ years of work experience in microbiology-related roles, preferably dealing with foods and beverages
• Knowledge of microbiological principles, techniques, safety and lab protocols

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

• Hands-on experience in food microbiological analysis including handling pathogenic cultures
• Work independently and in teams under fast-paced conditions with minimum supervision
