Key Responsibilities

 Strategic - Engineering:

1. Set and monitor the performance of the plant equipments against standards and targets in areas such as equipment uptime, MTTR, MTBF etc.
2. Responsible for meeting established operating budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of engineering activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve equipment uptime and regulatory compliances
3. Ensure high levels of productivity & engagement within factory teams
4. Ensure plant wastage due to equipment breakdowns are to the minimum as per targets
5. To set and monitor performance of Utility operations, Maintenance & engineering stores
6. To set and monitor Calibration of equipments related to Legal metrology, USFDA etc.
7. To lead Plant Preventive Maintenance pillar in TPM
8. To drive trainings to develop engineering skills of the plant team in way of Autonomous maintenance
9. To ensure and drive systems such as Root cause analysis, Corrective action and preventive action system in place to ensure continuous improvement
10. To monitor and ensure all regulatory compliances are met such as licenses renewal, meeting all requirements of factories act, PCB, Electricity board, Fire department etc in engineering and projects perspective
11. To drive closure of Safety and quality requirements of the unit and ensure to get timely certification of unit from certification agencies.
12. To drive and monitor Energy, water consumption of the factory and to find opportunities to improve the same and to drive capex related to it
13. To overview Spares Planning & Procurement, Vendor selection and performance evaluation.
14. Should be able to interact with internal stakeholders like production, Safety, quality, HR and resolve the issues in day to day activities

Strategic – Projects:

15. Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities
16. Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
17. Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.
18. Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
19. Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.
20. Confirms product performance by conducting tests/trials/IQ/QO/CQV
21. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
22. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
23. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
24. Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
25. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
26. To derive requirements of Plant long term capex planning basis the business requirements
27. To monitor capex spends, cashflow and ensure to meet the capex target timelines
